Amazon Creating 2,000 Jobs in Columbus

Amazon is the only online store having mastered the art of knowing exactly what a consumer wants and giving it to them in the fastest way possible. Columbus movers will be helping new residents settle in as mega-giant is going to bring over 2,000 jobs to central Ohio and the Columbus area – and fast.

Just eight weeks have passed since an Amazon executive stood next to Governor John Kasich and boasted about the company’s Big Data network as “just the beginning of Amazon in the state.” Now, more plans have been passed by the e-commerce giant to invest $225 million in additional funds that would aid in creating 2,000 jobs. Another motion, a $1.1 billion project for Amazon to construct three data centers in Dublin, Hilliard, and New Albany, has already been passed.

If you are moving to Columbus, Licking County has been named the proposed site for Amazon’s initiatives, so that may be where you should look into relocating to for a job. Although 2,000 is double what Amazon typically employs at a single facility, it is not uncommon for them to create a large center where they deem fit. In Shepherdsville, Kentucky, the Amazon.com KYDC LLC employs 2,200 employees in order to fulfill online orders. Amazon, in total, employs 7,232 workers in nine states. These centers handle purchase and order fulfillment, distribution, returns, and more.
