Columbus residential movers report that over the last few weeks, the Columbus community has been preparing for its 6th Annual Senior Living Festival. The Senior Living Festival is a free celebration for older adults in Ohio, which will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Hollywood Casino.
The Senior Living Festival will consist of informative exhibits, door prizes, live entertainment, recreational activities, and of course, free parking for those attending. Seniors will also receive $5 to use the same day at The Epic Buffet.
The concept of this festival began 6 years ago, when members of the Senior Services Roundtable of Columbus conceived the idea of a festival celebrating the lives of older adults. This event has been built upon the success of the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA), the Aging and Wellness Expo, and the Franklin County Office on Aging Columbus. These agencies provide centralized access to diverse services and programs that assist older adults, dependent adults, and their families. Together, these agencies have created a tradition for older adults that is both honorary and informative.
Columbus residential movers say this event has received an overwhelmingly positive response from Columbus community members, with up to 3,000 people in attendance in the year 2014.
The event is held at the Hollywood Casino, located at 200 Georgesville Road in Columbus. The Senior Living Festival welcomes adults 21 and older to join the festivities.
