Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is hosting a Boo at the Zoo event from October 18-20 and October 25-27. During Boo at the Zoo you will find plenty of family-friendly activities like a Super Hero show, rides, and animal visits. Plus, there will be trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo where kids can collect candy. This event is included with admission which costs $14.99 for ages 10-59 and $10.99 for ages 60 and up. $9.99 for ages 2-9 and children younger than 2 are free.
HalloWeekends at Cedar Point. This event is hosted from October 12 through November 1, from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. It may be too intense for younger children, so they offer Howl-O-Palooza for the kiddies from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekend through November 1. Tickets for this event are $47.99 or $38.99 after 6 p.m., and discounts are available online.
Freeman’s Farm is offering some awesome fall activates that will run through the month of October. Activities include a farm-animal petting area, scarecrow making, campfire concessions, kettle-corn popping, apple-butter making demonstrations, hayrides, and pumpkin picking. This event is great for kids and is a great way to meet your local Columbus neighbors.
Haunted Prison. Located in the Ohio State Reformatory, this event is sure to scare the wits out of you with all the ghost stories and paranormal entities walking around. Haunted Prison will be in town from Friday, September 26 through November 1, from 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, 7-10 p.m. on Sundays, and 7-11 p.m. on Thursdays. You will not want to miss out on this scary experience after moving to Columbus.
